Urban Waste Management

Waste Venture India's 'SwachhWorks' solution includes professional doorstep collection of waste, scientific and eco-friendly on-site processing of organic waste (e.g. kitchen waste), and recycling of dry/recyclable waste, reducing the waste out of the gate by up to 90%. We can also complement your existing collection system with a tailored solution.

Recycling Pickup & Processing

Waste Venture India's Recycling Pickup & Processing service offers responsive and reliable recyclable pickup direct to your doorstep for a variety of dry waste. If you are a manufacturer, corporate, university or even a consumer with a large volume of dry waste, we offer two options 1) direct sale to WVI, 2) donate your waste.

Our service is professionalizing the informal sector for greater livelihood and environmental impact, linking waste pickers and scrap dealers to multinational companies. We collect a variety of dry waste types, and are the official partner of Tetra Pak India for collecting and recycling post-consumer Tetra Pak in Telangana.

Municipal Waste Management & CSR

Waste Venture India's Municipal Waste Management (MWM) service helps small cities (100k – 500k population) do something responsible about their waste and comply with national waste regulations. Our standard service includes collections and processing of both organic and dry waste, and monetizing the byproducts (typically compost and recyclables) to support operations and increase affordability to the municipality.

Our Municipal Waste Management service stands out:

  • Manage all the waste: we tackle all the waste, diverting up to 80% of garbage from dumpsites

Rob Whiting

Managing Director

Rob directs WVI’s overall strategy and operations. He is a former consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, and brings experience across Asia and Africa from organizations including TechnoServe and USAID. Rob graduated from Vanderbilt University, where he was an Ingram Scholar and Keegan Traveling Fellow.

Roshan Miranda


Roshan leads WVI's urban waste management and recycling work in Hyderabad. Roshan brings previous strategy experience with The Boston Consulting Group, where he was based in Houston, Texas. He has a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from Baylor College of Medicine and is a native of Bangalore.

Srikanth Soni


Srikanth leads WVI's manufacturer-facing recycling business. He brings experience in industry operations from Larsen & Tubro and a background in the startup space with Ubitous Information Systems. Srikanth is a graduate of KITS Warangal, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and was even the university's radio DJ.

Praveen Kumar


Praveen is responsible for the operations of WVI's municipal project sites. He has over 10 years of experience in operations and finance. Before WVI, Praveen worked in the microfinance sector with BASIX as a field manager. He has an MBA with finance focus from Andhra University.

Anjaneyulu is responsible for WVI's finance and administration. He brings over 9 years of experience in finance and field operations, having previously worked for BASIX as a field executive and as an accountant with a major logistics company. He is a graduate of Andhra University.

Tasha directs WVI's recruiting and people strategy. She is a founding member of The Difference Group, a social enterprise talent agency, and has worked across numerous social enterprises including Impact Hub in Mexico City and Grey Matters in Hyderabad. She is a graduate from Scripps College, Claremont.
